adjusting brake strength

Hey guys

I've been reading this forum for a few months now. You guys have been great for some help and input that I've read. Now i have a question:

How can i adjust the strength of a brake on a single plane? I notice some planes stop quicker, and i understand it has to do with the size of the plane and such. But i'm using a small plane and it's stopping length is kinda long, and I'd like to shorten it?

Any help would be appreciated...

I am no good at this stuff, try to adjust things in the Aircraft.cfg file...maybe other member's may help

In the aircraft.cfg file there is this paragraph:


[brakes]
parking_brake = 1

wanna hear something cool?

if you add the line "differential_braking_scale = 1.0" below the two mentioned above, you can have rudder activated differential brakes on any aircraft you desire 8)

works great for those hard taxiing planes

Be crareful how high you put the brake strength though, or you could stand the plane on it's nose with a single click of the brakes! ;D

Excellent tip, Moach... ;D...!

I applied it to my Default Beech Baron 58D and it works a treat...!

It has always been a bit of a handful trying to taxi by twisting the joystick with one hand to turn the rudder, operate the throttle with the other hand, and at the same time tap F11 and F12 to operate the differential wheel brakes.... :o....Not enough hands...LOL...!
Now, the differential wheel brakes are automatically applied when the rudder is operated...works beautifully when performing tight turns and avoiding colliding with objects....Fantastic...!

I tried Moach's tip on a Cessna 172 I have been having difficulty taxiing and thought the taxi was improved. Looks good, Moach. Thansk a lot.
