Dinos Tomcat

Hey guys!

I have a problem with Dinos F-14, both A and B version. It keeps crashing on me. Suddenly, out of nowhere I'm send to the feared "bluescreen". After that, all I can do is reboot the PC.
Sometimes I can fly it for 10 minutes, other times I can't get more than 10 seconds..

Currently I'm running nVidias 78.01, on my Albatros GeForce 6800 GT 256 Mb. I'm running the VIA v4.49 driver on my AsRock P880 motherboard.

I have also experienced this with the Tu-144 'Concordski', but not on any other aircrafts.

My question is if anyone else has experienced this (whether or not your system is like mine).

I hope you can help me guys! :)

First, make sure that in the readme it doesnt require FSUIPC.  If it does, thats probably your problem.  The only other thing I can think of is its not installed properly.

The installation is simple, and I'm sure I've performed it correctly. FSUIPC I've got.

i reccomend you take it off your flight sim. then reload it. theres always a possibility of messing up. i know i have done it many times.

I've already tried that. I guess I'll just have to find another Tomcat then. :(

Ive never had this problem. One thing, on my laptop, the second I would touchdown on the carrier and Arrcab was supposed to catch my tomcat, everything just froze....  This only happened for me for Dino's tomcat... '(
Luckily thats the laptop... on my old pc and this new one it works, flawlessly...  :)

Ecko, I insist that you keep insisting and persevere, because this tomcat leave's Ito's in the dust, faaar behind it...  ;)

I'm just so tired of constantly installing new drivers and stuff.

By the way, I love your new signature! ;)

Heya Ecko,

In my experience I've found that when an aircraft suddenly and randomly crashes in FS 2004 it's due to a panel gauge not being completely compatible.

Are you using the default panel supplied with Dino Cattaneo's F-14 or a different panel?  I have never had an issue with Dino's default F-14 panel.  By the way, I haven't installed the Catapult and Arresting Gear update by Todd McKee (SimV Panels Pg. 5).

I had the very same issue with a DeHavilland Mosquito until I used a different panel set.  This fixed everything up just fine.

If you have changed panels in your F-14 you may want to try going back to the original default panel to see if that works.
