Just wanted to get everyones opinion on the best places to fly in FS9, for a bit of eye candy :) That means places with plenty of mountains (like Nepal, or Canada), or perhaps just wierd, or unusual places, maybe like the Bonneville Salt Flats (which I downloaded a landclass scenery for yesterday).

Well the most boring places are deserts... ;) ;D I think anywhere where the land has been smashed.., i.e. there are lots of islands. One can go Island hopping and it can give a wealth of views. It all depends on where you like to fly. Some folk like to see mountains and others like to see low-lying coastal places... ::)

It's always brought up around here, or at least it used to be, but Switzerland is always pretty.  Locarno is nice, a nice big lake with big rolling hills, and there's tons of airports nearby, and not just the lame grass strip.  Usually it's a paved runway with a Tower.  Try it out.

Then again, if you like the more coastal scene, Florida Keys and Bahamas are nice, turquoise water.

Switzerland is real nice.  In fact, I like flying anywhere with mountains, usually in a prop plane, such as the socata TBM-700

Try Juneau International, Juneau Alaska. Nice scenery, and mountains all around.

Agree about Juneau, TacitBlue.

Personally I think the Pacific scenery takes some beating generally, especially the colour of the sea - this is a good view of Pearl Harbor on final approach to Honolulu:-

I'll have to try a few of these places! I have flown round Switzerland quite a bit, downloaded the SimV mesh for it.

Someone recommended Locarno a while back, so I populated it with LAGO's FSE....nice spot for a bit of both mountain and lake flying....
...but...
..as everyone (and his dog) knows my favourite area is the Pacific coast from Santa Rosa, through San Francisco, and down to Los Angeles...
A variation of all sorts of scenery within a few miles of the coast!
Enhanced with California Scenery mesh, latest Autogen objects, latest trees, latest ground textures, water effects, add-on scenery, etc, and all my airfields in Cal populated with LAGO's Flight Sim Enhancer objects... ;D...!!
I now know California better than the folks who actually live there...trust me...!
The advantage of concentrating on one particular area... ;D...!
LOL...!

Cheers all...!

Paul...anyone fancy a Fozzer's Fantastic Tour?...Reasonable prices...(No small children or dogs)...;)... ;D...!
LOL...!
