He's downloaded an F4U, and it's not showing up in FS2004.

Four years of French and it took me a full thirty seconds to read that ::)

Anyone know a link for an addon aircraft tut in french?

If I had a link to the page this file is posted on I could possibly do a walkthrough but it wouldn't be in French.

My schoolboy French is so rusty I wouldn't dare answer this in anything but English.

As this tute is illustrated it should be easy enough to follow even if you don't fully understand the instructions. http://www.simviation.com/acinstall.htm

Wasn't that F4U made by a French designer?

This is probably the one he's got- http://www.simviation.com/fs2004vintage18.htm

FS2004 ALPHA BLEU CIEL French Chance Vought F4U-7 Corsair Package.

Thanks. That's more than likely. Unfortunately the file is far too big for me to consider downloading, even if I wanted it for myself. I don't have FS9 installed on this machine to check it out.

PS. As the authors appear to be French I assume that instructions in that language are included. This is usually the case in my experience.

I downloaded it and it has a self install program. I'd be willing to bet that the self install put the folders in the respective game folders and not the "effects" and "gauges". This has happened allot with self install programs.

I never trusted self install programs and always extract the item(s) to a temp folder, then manually install the aircraft and it's associated items. The F4U-7 works fine for me after a manual install.

Beef, would you translate this possible remedy into French, please.

;D
