Need Help Please!

Hi I recently downloaded a VC-10 and a Hawker trident. Problem is that I'm having serious difficulty installing them. I've followed what the readme says but it still won't show up. In the aircraft folder there 2(1 in case of VC-10)aircraft files and a shared file. Any help would be very much appreciated  ;D

Hi sirjon. Most downloads will be configured in a slightly different way depending on the preferences & experience of the people that configured them. I don't quite understand what your problem is as I have no idea of how you extract zipfiles or install aircraft. Providing these files aren't over 10 Mb the quickest way to sort this out would be for me to download the files & check them out for you. If you would like me to do that please post a link to the page the files are posted on & tell me the file names.

PS. If these are by David Maltby he posted a clear & concise installation tute for all his aircraft here. http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/notes_on_fs_aircraft_files.htm
This is far better than I can explain on the forum. (I prefer Cut & Paste to Drag & Drop for moving files & folders but either method should work fine.)

They are terrific aren't they? I've had the whole set from him for about a week, Comet, Trident, BAC 111, VC10. I instaled the VC10 from here and had similar problems. MY fault, I didn't read the readme properly and just 'cut n paste' the folders incorrectly.

For other's future reference, the sound and panel folders DO NOT go in the aircraft's main file like most instals. They must go in a seperate folder in the FS9/Aircaft folder called 'DMFS shared files', leaving the default Sound and Panel folders in the VC10 aircraft folder. You should also put the accompaning documents here as well, this gives you access to them via the kneeboard during flight.
