Airbus gauge problem (a320.gau)

I've loaded Airbuses from three different providers but get the same fault each time when I try to load the aircraft. I get a FS9 error massage saying the a320.gau file could not be loaded and the instrument or aircraft may not function properly.

Any fixes or suggestions?

I recall that there was a problem with one version of the A320.gau
that was fixed in a lter release.

I have a "good" A320.gau in my gauges folder with the following
characteristics:

  size = 4,493KB
  date= 11/15/2003  6:31PM

I also have a A330.gau with:

   size= 4,448KB
   date= 11/15/2003  6:51PM

I have an A330.gau marked "bad" with the
same size but date of  5/15/2004...later than the "good one".

I have a file "A320v22_patch.zip" that contains just the
"good" A320 gauge. I believe I got this off Eric Marcianos
web site   http://emarciano.free.fr
It replaces the A320.gau that came with a full panel download
file A320_v22.zip.

The "bad" A320.gau  in that download has these characteristics:

   size =  4,448KB
   date = 6/25/03 10:39PM

So, I suggest you go to Erics site and find the download there.

The site doesn't seem to be giving downloads at the moment.

Here is the zip'd updated A320.gau file.  Grab it ASAP so I can
remove it .

Thanks for that but i've still got the same problem. However, after accepting the error notice several times, the AC loads and all the dials seem present and working. What does this .gau file do anyway?

Pretty much everything...the MFD and PFD displays, I believe.

Have you installed the latest version of FSUIPC??
You don't need the registered version but you will need the
"key" code entered in the FSUIPC.key file located in your
"modules" folder.

The entry should look like this:

    A320.gau=VSB54OK5UVWN

You can enter the key in FS anyways, in the flight mode press ALT for getting up the top-bar, there under modules FSUIPC should be listed. Maybe the FSUIPC.key file is created only if you have once entered a key, cause I installed FSUIPC by just putting the .dll file there, and the .key file is there, too.

Tried that, said 'not a valid code'. (I used the one posted above).

Yes, FSUIPC.key is in the modules folder. Could be that you have
the "hide protected operating system files" option set and just
can't see it. The .key extension is normally used to specify a
registry modifying file.

Oen Explorer and undet "Tools" select "Folder Options"
and then "View". Uncheck the boxes "Hide protected operating
system files" and "Do not show hidden files and folders"

Check the box "Show hidden files and folders".

You should be able to "see" FSUIPC.key now.

Here is the entire contents of my key file:

[Programs]
AFSD=IZ2QREOXH4G7
A320.gau=VSB54OK5UVWN
F16.gau=DSVTJE5S6DUO
A330.gau=T21S7RQ3EN2R
A340.gau=QZ690KOCYNLA

Do NOT double-click to open this file. Use the "right-click, open with " option and open it in Notepad to make any changes.

Done that and the good news is that my radar on my B52 panel now works but the bad news is the a320 gauge problem is still there!  :-/

Thanks for getting me this far though, at least i've got radar now! :)
