Force feedback settings.

Postby simonmd » Sun Nov 13, 2005 11:21 am

I have an older Logitech Wingman Force Feedback joystick. Works fine with most craft but on some, the force is so violent from left to right I can't keep control without going to settings and turning it off. Other AC work fine with it. Is there a way of reducing the FB in FS9, or in the aircraft config file? I've seen Force settings in there but don't have a clue as to what new values to give them.

Copy and paste the figures from the aircraft.cfg of aircraft that have feedback you like, put these values in-place of the old ones. ;)

Hi Simon,
I believe that I have EXACTLY the same joystick as you. I also found this problem, and now, I don't have force feedback on at all. I find it is a lot easier, smoother, and no longer does my joystick have a life of it's own.
Hope this helps  ;)

It's the one with the base shaped like a kidney (best word to describe it really!) and has red buttons and throttle control. I'll let you know if the above suggestion works, I don't think just turning off FFBack is the answer. Might as well have basic joystick if I do that!
