Is there a way to  have the Plane at a ramp with the engine (s)  off , as it is now  they are always on  and i would  like too  start  my own  each & every time   Thankyou  in advance Arkon

Put the fuel to 0%........

Make sure that the engines are not running (i.e. turn them off!) in the DEFAULT flight that loads when you start FS up. If they are not off, then close them down and save the flight. Next time you start (regardless of what plane you choose), the engines will be off.

Make sure you also turn off all gauges, etc.  Otherwise, if the plane sits at the ramp too long, the batteries die and nothing will start!

Start the sim and taxi to a parking space. Now shut everthing down to cold and dark then save the flight and check the box "Make this the default flight". From now on every time you load up an airplane it will be cold and dark.

You also better assign keys to the Master Battery, Avionics Master and Start Engine 1 in the Assignments. Some add on airplanes come missing a switch or two at times. Without keys assigned you may either need to edit the panels and add those switches or load up a default airplane and start it first then switch to your new add on airplane.

I much prefer to start from cold as in real life.  I switch off the engines when I am at the parking location and then Exit FS. Next time that flight is from cold. The thing that petrified me was that if I flew an aircraft and switched it off, then flew another, then went back to the first some days later would I remember how to switch everything on ? Then I found out that Ctl E does so anyway if you forget the switches.

Just before you press FLY NOW on your main fs 2004 screen,click fuel and payloads setting.then click change fuel.put 0 into all fuel spaces.there,your set,now you can start your engines manually click fly now.NOTE:before pushback,add appropriate amount of fuel for your flight.if you forget to add fuel and you try to start engines with 0 amount of fuel, will result in one engine reponse to throttle movement when you finally add fuel.
