You could try re nameing it first and change the type of file to a .txt file. But before doing any thing make a restre point just to be safe. That way you can undo anything . 8)

I have no idea if this dll is on the windows XP disk if you have a copy try searching for it just remeber it could be in a cab file 8)

It's somewhere on the disk because Ntdll.dll is a core OS file. Of course finding it may be a different matter. If you can't find it try a search on Google. There are databases that provide free .dll file downloads for people with corrupted or missing .dll files.

Also check where the file is on your computer. If it isn't in a system or system32 folder then it's possibly a trojan.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I did Google it and found places to replace it, but none were freeware.  That is fine, but I wonder what will have if I replace it.  Will it screw things up?  Since most of my errors keep coming back to this file, I thought that might be a good one to try to fix.  Todd
