Land or enter the after life

So after trying out Lukla (and hitting the wall due to late brake application the first time) from Black_ZR-1 post, "What airport is this", what other hairy, slightly insane and barking mad approaches can we come up with??
To clarify, I can also put an Antanov 225 into Lukla, stopping and walking away is another matter ;) ;)

Look for an airport called Solider Bar in Utah (I think). I don't remember the identifier code, but its the only one called Solider Bar. (not soldier bar). Try landing anything there, it's hard.

Courchevel in France is interesting, even in a slow aircraft.

Is that default now? And more importantly, does it have the sloping runway?

Is Courchevel in FS, anything like the real one?

That's not a runway, it's a ski jump :o :o

For courchevel, yes you can manage to make it look almost like that.

You just have to download the mesh for the Alps by T.pignot (ALPES.ZIP), and then go to the Paneva web site to download the altiports sceneries:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/bravomike/fs2004.html

There, you must download all the textures packages, the "altirelief.zip" file, andthen you can download and install the altiport of your choice, Courchevel included :)
You will no more see the default airport, but a whole new place with a sloped runway.

NB: the sloped runway will be unusable (looks like a stairway) if your terrain VERTEX_LEVEL is set to anything higher than the default value (19) in fs9.cfg.
