I downloaded all of PAI and it worked fine then I added some POSky jets.

Now when I try to load FS2004 it won't go past the beggining screen i.e. the Flight Simulator 2004 a Century of flight screen  :(.

Please someone help  :(. I will be most greatful  :(

delete all scenery.dat files in the addon scenery folder and subdirs, and restart. usually works when that kind of things happen

Logically this was caused by the last addons you installed before having problems. The first thing I would do is to delete those Posky jets you mentioned. From the way you describe it you added more than one all at the same time. This is the reason I always install one addon at a time & check it out in the sim before installing another one.

You could try deleting fs9.cfg first. Then try running FS9. A new CFG will be written when it's loading & this should return everything to the default settings. This has been known to fix all sorts of problems. If it doesn't fix it there's no harm done.

                 I deleted all the scenery DAT files and re booted but when I started FS2004 again it said "building new database or something like that" and the after that was completed it just froze  ???

Thinking logically again, could these have something to do with it? I have no idea what AEU 8 is & only you know what you installed before it went wrong.

AEU is Airport Environment Upgrade........It basically changes the look of all airports around the world. Do you think I should delete it  :-[?

Right. I can't download anything from Avsim as I've forgotten my password & they won't give me a new one for some reason. I found it posted on another site but you said AEU 8.

If FS9 worked after you installed AEU it's unlikely this is the cause of the problem. Please think carefully about what you installed or changed directly before it started playing up or we could be on a wild goose chase.

Today I haven't played fs9 because of this problem. But yesterday I played it fine

Right. Now did you install all these before trying FS9 or what? I need as much information as possible if we're going to figure this out. I can't promise but I will do my best. Tracking these sort of things down is very difficult from long range.

Update. I've downloaded AEU 7 to check it out. As I suspected, this involves overwriting default files. If you followed the author's instructions you will have backed them up before doing this.

The easiest way to do this is to make a copy of your entire FS9/ Texture directory and keep it in a safe place.

To uninstall the update delete the FS9\Texture folder & replace it with the backed up original. (Rename the original folder to Texture if necessary.) If you didn't follow the instructions you might have to reinstall FS9 to restore the default textures. I haven't tried this myself so it might be best not to suggest anything.

Please tell me if this is any help before we try something else.

I would tryreplacing your main FS9 Texture folder using you FS9 CD. Find the CAB file with the main TEXTURE folder in it. First move and rename the old texture folder from your hard drive for safe keeping and then open the CAB file with winrar and find the main FS9 texture folder and place it in you FS9 folder where you took the old ones from. Start fs9.. If it works try removing the files from your backup that are associted with AEU7. (Use the zip file as a reference) then replace them with the default ones  and try again by switching the CD one with your backup. and restart FS9. I use AEU7 and have had no issues. Try that and if it doesnt work we can try a few more things.

Thanks for the support guys. I'm currently looking for the DEFAULT Texture folder in the cd's. I can't seem to find it at the moment. Will update ya'll later.
