Problems Taxing

Postby chief1995 » Tue Oct 11, 2005 8:15 pm

I have lots of problems controlling my taxi speed ( too fast). This happens with all my planes.
How can I fix this problem?

Thanks to all!

Heya Chief,

On all aircraft you can press and hold down the engine idle key (defaulted to the F1 key).  This becomes very tiresome to keep this key pressed all of the time however.

I use an excellent gauge by Rob Barendregt called Groundhandling Gauge for FS2004 aircraft.  This gauge offers taxi speed, landing autobrake, and pushback features to name a few.  The file name for the latest version is RCBgh-40.zip.  I have it assigned to a stand-alone window on all of my aircraft panels.  All that you have to do is to set the taxi speed and it does the rest!

Hi Chief

Check out the post "Real like taxi feel, here's how to!"
It is on page 3 at the moment, near the bottom, so soon to be page 4. It is a new module dll to do with wheel to ground contact. It makes one hell of a difference.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I have the same problem. I have 'brake' set up on the trigger of my joystick and when I go too fast I just give it a blip. Works fine.

Thanks to all the replies, and yes I also have the brake on a button on my YOKE, but when I am flying on line and I am trying to listen to ATC and conttol my speed it tends to get away from me, I am learing to multitask.
I did install the DLL suggested by Matt and it does make a heck of a difference, thanks Matt.
Graycat, where do I get RCBgh-40.zip? I have googled it and I can't find it.
Thanks all!!
