Thanks folks. Like the hurricane Rita, on monday 3, I hope "chase" the eclipse over Spain if the real weather works properly on light (day/night) change.

I never saw an eclipse, period. ;D

Both in FS or for real. The last partial eclipse happened here in Italy only acted sort of like a cloud over the sun, dempening for some minutes the sun's light. Hardly something woth talking about. ;)

In FS I know that the moon's eclipses are contemplated, but not the sun's. :-/

Better luck with FS10, I guess. 8)

The last total eclips that was in the South West of the UK produced a 97% eclips here in Germany (I have to say, a very precise 97% !!) The remaining 3% of sun light that hit us produced............complete daylight.  Mighty powerful that sun of ours. I would think the prospect of seeing an partial eclips in FS is non existant.  As for real weather, it is only updated every 15 minutes, and an eclips lasts 7 to 10 minutes. Also, in the real world, the weather update asumes  that you can see out of your window, or have a watch to look at. Saying that, did you get any effect?

The full solar eclipse we had in 1999 (the same one as mentioned by Matt) was cool. We were right in the center so the total eclipse lasted something like three minutes. But then again, being Cornwall it was cloudy. So very little was seen of the eclipse itself, just the varying light differences and of course the complete darkness at midday. ;D

Oooh yeah, in FS solar and Lunar movements are actually programmed into the game, so you shouldn't need real weather for an eclipse to be seen. ;)
