Failures ...

I have Failures turned off in Flight Sim but for some reason I keep getting electrical failures (and electrical failures only) about 2 minutes after takeoff.

Anybody ever seen this?

How do I stop that?

It sounds like you have a timed failure activated.  Go into failures and look in each system window.  You may find that one of them is live.

What aircraft is it? There could be a mistake in the aircraft.cfg file and the battery is draining without being charged. I used to get the same thing with a Vanguard until I noticed a spelling mistake in the cfg file.

Alternatively, all of the electrics that are switched on are overloading the system so you need to adjust the cfg file to allow for the higher load anyway

It sounds like you forgot to turn on the generators!

Oh ... that's it.

Why did this start happening only recently though? I have been flying for YEARS with all sorts of jets and now all of a sudden, 3 weeks ago the generator is off when you start up.

Even just as an example: Citation X of eaglesoft. I have flown that plane to hell and back then 3 weeks ago the electrical goes belly up after 2 minutes ... and the generator is off.

Is there a virus that specifically attacks FS's generator settings ???  :o

That'd be funny ...  ;D
