Gauges

Postby Spuds » Fri Aug 26, 2005 2:54 pm

Need some help please...somehow I've lost all of my gauges...Don't know how! But I'm assuming I can restore them from the original disks? Can someone tell me (a) If that's possible (b) what disk they'd be on? Panels are still there but gauges are gone...

Thanks... ???

Heya Spuds,

The FS 2004 default Gauges are located on the FS9 Installation Disk #2 in a file called MSGAME3.CAB.

You don't say in your post whether your Gauges folder is missing or empty.  Let's not take chances shall we?

The first thing that I would do is to go into your FS 2004 root directory and see if you have a Gauges folder or not.  If you do, see if it's spelled correctly.  If it's misspelled then you won't have any gauges.

If the Gauges folder is indeed missing or empty then simply Extract the *.gau files in MSGAME3.CAB into a new Gauges folder.

If you don't know how to Extract files then IM me here at SimV and I'll be happy to help out!

Hey there Graycat...thanks for the info...yea the root directory was still there...so I copied the gauge files as you suggested...and had to overwrite the existing ones....which tells me they were there all the time!! Anyhoo, the bottom line is I ran FS9 and they appear to be all back were they should be...still can't figure out what the hell I did and why they weren't showing up...but thanks again for the input
