Overspeed Warning

Postby gilesh » Fri Aug 26, 2005 10:07 pm

Hi, New to Simviation but it looks great.
I have just downloaded the concord from another site. But when I speed through 350  notts the over speed warning light comes on. As you can see this is pretty anoying when the concords overspeed is at over 1000 notts! I tried taking the refrence speed out of the aircraft.cfg but it made no difference. Does anone know how to fix this problem? Is it somthing to do with the .air file? I downloaded my plane from
http://www.fsfrance.com/Projets/Mach2/Download.htm
Thanks for your help.

Hello Gilesh!

First; let me state that if you can find a way to up the PM2 Concorde's max airspeed; let me know - I've been trying for a long time.

However; keep in mind - if it's realism you want - that the aircraft flies properly and has no problem reaching max speed. The trick is in the flight profile. It has to be high enough to reach those speeds.

Look at the Airspeed Indicator - the large yellow-and-black checked needle is your max airspeed. As you climb into the thinner air; that needle will climb the dial; topping out at 51,000ft. The idea is to set your climb so your aircraft's speed stays close to the needle. Not as much fun as blasting along 200ft. off the deck at mach 2; but more realistic. ;)
