my fs2002 has been so great that I resisted buying 2004, however, it was on sale so.... I now have a problem, on 2004 some of my favourite airfields ( CYAW and CYSJ have trees in the middle of the bloody runway, I know for a fact the real runways don't as Ive been up and down them a few times, any advice on how to clear cut these airfields would really be appreciated ??? ???

ctanner,

Well....... first of all you need a chainsaw.  Then get some bar and chain oil, some gas and oil mix........ and...........

;D  ;D  ;D

Sorry... couldn't resist.

Normally to get rid of autogen trees and such... you place an exclusion area on the troublesome spot.  But with a default airport there ... I THINK that approach might also "exclude" the airport itself.  Not sure.  Then you'd have to find an add-on airport and place it over the exclusion.

I think this question might be best answered in the "Secnery and Panel Design" section.

best,

I checked out both airports (cyaw and cysj)with only default scenery and saw NO trees in the runways.

Have you installed new scenery for the airports?

Look for a little program called Exclusion Builder.  It should be here or one of the other of the big three sites, but if you can't find it, let me know and I'll e-mail it.  You can create exclusion areas very simply with it...

thanks for the tips, I really lean toward the chain saw!!!actually I replaced CYAW with an add on and it improved matters some, CYSJ now has an invisible tree on the runway, no tree shows but when you land you get halfway down the runway and "WHACK" object colision, I'll have to play with the exclusion program over the weekend and see what gives then, thanks again everyone, much appreciated...Chris
