I recently downloaded an OSU Kingfisher. However, when I'm taking off or have landed in the water, there is no wake which makes the whole thing less realistic. I have other amphibians such as the PBY and the Cessna which show wakes when going through water. Any suggestion to correct?

Just copy/past from a whatever other amphibian the lines in the .cfg files that are under the [effects] tag and that refer to spray and wake.

It worked for me.

thats right. i dowloaded the same aircraft and took effects form other aircraft.
if u do this on most of your aircraft you can make the game a morew ejoyable experiance

My problem is I accidentally deleted my FS9 Effect file while messing around with download. I'm starting from the scratch. You know where I can download a good collection of effect files?
