Still Flying FS002 and FS000?

I've finally downloaded enough aircraft in my FS2004 that could keep me busy flying. However, I still have FS2002 and a slew of downloaded aircraft collected over several years which occupy gigs of memory. I hardly use FS2002 now. No sense doing it if I have the 04. Would it be prudent to uninstall the 02. I'll copy the aircraft, gauge, sound, and effects files on disks before doing it.

I'm in exactly the same situation as you. Because hard drive space is not limiting though, I'm leaving it right where it is.

I kept both on my system after I got FS2004, but never used FS2002. So when I had to wipe my harddrive & reinstall XP (Grrrrr) I didn't bother to re-install FS2002, couldn't see the point.

It's probably best to have each incarnation of MSFS on its own machine. I still have FS5.1 (upgraded from 5.0) running on the WIN3.1 machine; FS98 on WIN98 machine; FS2002 (passed on FS2000) running on ME and FS9 running on XP.

Since (the first day) FS9 came out I've never looked back (why would I? why would anyone?) I have, however, from time-to-time, purloined a joystick or two from the others :-)

...I've got both FS 2002 on my Win '98SE hard drive and FS 2004 on my Win XP hard drive, both in the same computer.
I've left FS 2002 where it is 'cos I pinch useful odds and ends from it now and again, planes, gauges, effects, sounds, scenery, utilities, etc,  to pop into FS 2004....
...save me downloading them again...on 56k... ;)...LOL...!

Cheers all...!
