You guessed it - me again

You guys have been so helpful - how difficult can this be -

i found it eventually -  qote from the read me

The awesome F/A-18E Super Hornet from KBT and Daisuke is perfect. It is extremely realistic. The only problem was the fact that the plane could not reach Mach 1.8+. I simply modified the .air file in one simple entry, making the plane realistic also about speed. At 36000 ft, the plane now reaches Mach 0.9 whitout reheat, exceed Mach 1 whit reheat and reaches, after almost eight minutes, Mach 1.8+. I think it is a needed update for this fantastic fighter that makes the whole project totally realistic. Simply install in FS2004 and overwrite old .air file. By Simone Prattico'.

So I unzipped into a temp folder and copied the air file into my 2004 superhornet folder

And you guessed it - no change - 600 max

Fa 18e is the one I got  -whats reheat ?

Just a thought - & don't quote me on it, because I have never flown the F18, but try pressing F4 to toggle the afterburners on & off. Or looking in the 'readme' files to see if a different button has been assigned to this task.

That might be wrong though, but it's got to be worth trying before the cavalry arrive.

Cheers,

TSC.

Reheat/Afterburner same basic purpose-Extra Juice!!  ;D

Default assignments

F4 for full throttle

Shift+F4 to toggle reheat/afterburner on and off.

Ahh - 'shift' I forgot that part - long time since I flew Concorde (in FS2K) which I think was the last time I used the afterburners.

Good to see you riding shotgun Dave.  :D

600 knots is probably indicated airspeed.  At 30,000 ft that would be about Mach 1.8 or 1,200 knots groundspeed.
