One last setting question

Postby wilderobb » Mon Aug 08, 2005 9:31 am

On my flight yoke I have a button for brake. All I can find to assign it to is Brake (apply release). Well this makes me have to tap the button a few hundred times to slow down so I don't crash into the trees well off the runway!!!. I cant remember which assignment it was when all I had to do was push and hold it and the brake stayed on until I released it. Or could it have been a gauge I installed that overwrote the defauld.  ??? Thanks, Wildie.

I don't know whether this would be of any help to you.........but try resetting the assignment (or assign the brake key to some other button) and see what happens.

Also, does this happen when you press the . (period) key?

On my yoke the assignment is Brake (apply/release) but i don't have to keep pressing the button.
Wonder why you get this error ???
Mmmmmmm............ still thinking   ::)

There should be a slider next to the button on the assignments screen that says "repeat rate", set it as high as it will go. Also, if you have a CH flight yoke, You might find it helpful to set the right brake to the right "trigger" button, and left brake to the left one.

To apply brakes to stay on we just use:
GENERAL AIRCRAFT COMMANDS: Parking Brake Set/Release  CTRL+. (PERIOD) as shown in the keyboard commands

I didnt see the slider on the right. However the Slider won't stay slid over to the right. I think if it did that would fix it. Wildie.
