Strange Effects problem

Postby wilderobb » Wed Aug 03, 2005 2:56 pm

I'v been fighting a problem thats driving me nuts. I got my comuter cleaned out, (XP) and reinstalled fs 2004. Then I moved my gauges over in place of the defaut gauges and overwrote. Then I added 2 of my aircraft, A modified Cessna 172-SP and a gulf IV. All the gauges work fine but I noticed that even tho my frame rate was good it didnt look like it on the screen. I checked on my graphics card and it was set ok and everything else that I know of is fine. Then today I found that as soon as I use Shift+Z and get the Lat./Long ect. to come up my system,(FS9) runs as smooth as a baby's ass. Well, thats an improvement but I really dont want to be looking at that all the time. Has anyone had that problem? I must get it fixed somehow. PS. My flight sim ran just fine before I got the harddrive cleaned out and XP reinstalled, I just thought it would be a good idea to get rid of a lot of junk out of my system.  I know.... If it's not broke don't try to fix it!.... Also I get little dots that show up in the sky, but they tend to go away.. I'v never seen those befor as well. Still trying to fly, Widlie. :o

Seems to me like a videocard / motherboard driver issue.

If you installed them correctly you could try using a more recent version of them. Wouldn't hurt to try.
