crashing?

hi. in fs 2004 when i hit the ground at high speed i just bounce up. i know that there are reasons for not having explosions but is there anyway flight sim can tell me that i have crashed?

There is a checkbox in the Settings part of the sim that enables crashes and aircraft stresses cause damage.  You have to check them.  I think by default it is "off".  

Then up the realism settings to full too...... and you'll find the sim is a bit tougher  ;).

There are also thrid party add-ons that put crash effects back into the sim.  Check the libraries here at simV.  Some are freeware ...some are payware.

Another thing i would like to add in the aircraft.cfg add the line visual_damage=1 if it is already there make sure it is set at 1. if set at 0 please change it for visual damage to work.
