Hi all
How to you add scenery in 2004.  In 2002 in the tool bar under world there was add scenery. I can't seem to find that option in the world tool bar in 2004.

Cheers

Hsv

Always a good thing to look at the Help section/Grumpy's Lair at this site.

I'll take you directly to the page in Gumpy's Lair

Unlike FS2002, with FS2004, you must exit the sim and restart for any scenery changes to take effect.

thanx dave - im doing that - but will the scenery change if you go back to a saved flight - or will the saved flight always show the old scenery - even after you added on and restarted

give me a link to an ad on that is really different to the generic -

thanx

It should load up with the new scenery. When FS does a save, it only saves flight parameters, not everything on the screen, so, when the save tells it to load the particular coordinates you were at, it'll load up the scenery for that area straight, so it'll load the new scenery.

ok - thats what i thought - then youd agree -  if i add  new scenery -  save a flight -  and a snap shot of  the screen - then deactivate the new scenery in library - and go back to that saved flight - i should  see the origonal generic

otherwise you wasted your time downloading it

???

maybe some ad ons are just slight enhancements of microsofts generic - so its not so easy to see the difference

or am i missing something

Depending on the type of scenery the difference should be noticeable. Which scenery is this? If you tell me the file name & the exact page it's posted on maybe I can check it out for you.

PS. I'm on dial-up so no huge downloads please.

Whichever you prefer. PM is fine. I only need to know the file name & page number so I can download it. The page it's posted on please, not a direct link to the file.
