I'm always looking for good places and planes to do bush pilto runs in FS9. I usually hop in the default 208 and fly along the Alaskan coastlines and rivers.
I was wonderin if anyone had any suggestions as to good freeware add-ons and in-game destinations for bush pilots. Amphibious planes, enhanced scenery, prefered locales and the like. Thx for any tips and links!

DJ_zephyr,
Holgar Sandman has a host of scenery that makes the Alaska and PNW area great for "low and slow". And maybe get the FSGenesis (payware) 38.2 meter terrrain mesh addon for Alaska.
Search SimV for his name as well as anything with "Alaska" and "bush flying".
Also do a Google for "Bush Flying Unlimited". And also "Bushnet". That is a virtual airline that is NOT a virtual airline... maybe an association of like minded pilots" that likes exactly what you do.
best,

Definately check out BFU. Even if you don't want to join up they have links to scenery and airplanes. Also check out the library here and at AVSIM for sceneries in Alaska and Canada.
You also might want to consider at least one paware add on. It's called Misty Fjords and it's way more than just a scenery. It includes mesh for the Misty Fjords area along with a lot of detailed scenery and environment enhancements including moving cruise and tour ships. There's also a lot of freeware sceneries available for the Misty Fjords area. Another good free add on is the Bella Coola mesh from Holger Sandman.

Thx guys! The BFU site looks great, if I ever get online with FS9, I may join up with them, too!
I'll check for Mr. Sandman's stuff, too. I don't have any payware, and ai don't DL a lot of scenery (mostly planes), but I'll check the stuff out!
Thx!

I
HATE turbo-props....LOL...!
They take forever to slow down...

With the good-old Radial motor on the Beaver, you only have to shut the throttle and
viola! instant braking..
