Is there a setting on the game that allows you to start the sim with the engines not running, so that you have to do the full startup? I would rather have to go through the whole startup thing - more realistic! ;D
Cheers

Land your favourite aircraft at an airfield of your choice, position it, shut everything down manually and "save" the flight, making it your "default" flight.
(There is an download option, (gauge), called "Dark", but it must be applied to each aircraft).

Don't think there is, but the easy way round it is to set up the situation you want with the engines stopped etc, and save it making sure you set it as the default flight.

I did the above a while back and it works. I wouldn't dare start a game on 'active runway' or with engines running.
