Has anyone tried to use fs9 on a big screen HDTV,I have a lg 52 inch DLP that has a VGA input and a DVI input, well I wanted to use the VGA but the extension cable I had didn't have the right connections so I used the DVI cable that's normally used on the HD recever.so I plugged them in fired up the TV+computer and HOLY CRAP windows automatically reconfigured the screen to 16:9 and in 1024/780.So now im stoked im drooling like a pitbull,I took a look at the game "world of warcraft" first,it looked  incredible! so I couldn't wait anylonger its time for FS9 and started it,well the first thing I notice was that the opening wallpaper screen "the one that sez Flight Simulator 2004" was allthe way over to the right and about a 1/4th off the screen,so then it when in to the "fly now menu" was also over to the right and 1/4th off the screen, witch meant I couldn't even start a flight, the screen was also flickering but it wasn't the TV but the computer, like it was in a constant loop re loading the screen,I couldn't get in to the settings page either.so has anyone tried to do this is there some setting you have to use?the screens I talked about were also shifted to the right on my computers CRT monitor to but not off the screen. If anyone has a idea id love to hear it...thx

Don't know how to fix it though. I'd like to know... :(

I used the Svid out on my Ti4600 to connect to the TV and then ran a feed off my audio to the TV as well as the PC's speakers. Cranked up the volume and jumped in my Spitfire. YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAA 8) 8) 8) 8)

I've had mine plugged up to the tube off of both the S-Video to the TV, and via the DVI cable to my InFocus...had to tweak the ATI settings a bit to re-adjust the screen size and location. This might be your problem...

Try using the controls in the advanced tab of the ATI Control Panel...

and make sure the game opens in the same resolution that windows is set to when hooked to the TV.

Sometimes a simple solution, after exploring complex possibilities, can be as small as matching the screen resolution.

Kinda makes people feel stupid afterwards, doesn't it? ::)

Check to be sure that resolution and refresh rate are the same on your card o/p (when running FS9) and the i/p you're using on the TV. You may be able to disable the "Auto" setting on the TV to do this. You might also want to use the VGA i/p on the TV instead of the DVI... even with an adaptor, VGA-to-DVI doesn't always work.Ater all, your PC is spitting out a (perfectly good enough) VGA signal, not a HDTV signal.
Whatever you do, don't settle for S-Video unless you have to... it's just composite, compared to VGA. Blecchh!
Your TV may also have horizontal-shift settings, or even a "sizing" adjustment. What is it, anyway?

ATI controll panel? Is that the thing u get when u right-click on the desktop and go to settings? How do you adjust the screen location then? I have tried this, but it didn't work. The problem is really in the game, because windows shows up normal
