I'm always looking for a new place to park my P-38, and I was wonderin' if there are any hangars you can taxi in to in FS2004. Links to any freeware hangars would be cool, but Im really looking for ones that come with the game, if there are any.
Thx!

Surely modification of push back to became push in would be more realistic. After 18 years in aviation I have never seen an aircraft taxied in to a hanger. The danger factor goes of the scale

The Eaglesoft Development Group have a hangar that you can place on any airfield, you can raise and lower the hangar door and should take a P-38 nicely.
It takes my AC690 with lots of room to spare.

Download the Bremerton National scenery. It's a whole airport located not far from Seattle. It has a hangar you operate with the Nav radio. Also the textures are amazingingly clear on this scenery. You can actually read the messages posted on the message board in the hangar and almost read the inspection dates on the fire extinguisher.

Get the Globe Swift package here on SimV. It comes with a small airport in Alaska with a moving door on the hanger, and deer that run across the runway. oh yeah, and its a really great plane too.

Well here's the hangar at AK31 - just big enough for the C172 IF your careful:

Cool Deer on the landing strip (note, the hangar is now closed):

Thanks for the 'heads up' Tacit.

Thx, guys, the Globe Swift pack sounds like a nice add-on! I'll check it out! The Eaglesoft scenery could be just what I'm looking for to complete my hideout in the Bahamas, too!

I would recommend the Eaglesoft Hangar too, and although the Eaglesoft aircraft are payware, the hangar is freeware ;D

To raise the hangar door you tune 112.00 on the NAV2 radio, to lower it you just tune the NAV2 radio to a different frequency !!!!

OK, tried the Eaglesoft hangar. A bit of a trick to get placed, but worth it! Fits right in the place I wanted to put it, and houses my P-38 nicely!
I'll get a screen up sooner or later, just for kicks!

Try the "Chateau" scenery, available at Avsim. The (misspelled) file name is "chatau.zip"... there is a chateau on a hill, and below it, an airport with a bunker-type hangar that is enormous. No doors on it, but with a small enough airplane, you could probably fly through it, let alone taxi...
