Is there a list of 'got to have' on here?

I'm reinstalling FS9 after a hard drive crash. I've downloaded plenty of terrains, sceneries, and planes. Some worked great, some not so great.
Does anyone know of a good list of downloads you've got to have on FS9??
Thanks.

I'd start with where you fly most and do a search on what add-ons we have. And don't forget the Global Terrain Mesh

Must haves:
Planes
- Anything by Milton Shulpe and crew (Aero commanders, Beech 18 and Howard 500)
- F-16's by Kirk Olsson
- FS-KBT P-3 and F-18E
- Aeroplane Heaven seafire
- Sea Hurricane
TLUK Hawker Hunter
David Maltby DH Trident (also made a VC-10, BAC1-11 and Comet 4)
And if you are in for a challenge
- Project Tupolev Tu-154B
- Samdim An-24
- Samdim Tu-114
Scenery
- Novosibirsk Tolmachevo and Severny
- Almaty
- FreeFlow Florida
- Pleurtuit Aerodrome

There sure is!
We started it a while ago. It isn't an "official" list, just recommendations by all our members.
See
Flight Simulator 2004 FAQ'sThen go to the bottom where it says, "12. Best of the Best "Recommended by our members".

I thought about global terrain but I thought there were 'blank spots' or places that weren't covered properly.
I live in Maryland, but usually make my way all around. I would like to find some scenery for MD/VA/PA/DC, etc. I also fly in Europe (Germany) a lot.
Thanks for the response.

Ivan and Fly2e... thanks for the lists. That will make a great start to my hangar and scenery.

Agree about the Milton Shupe planes; that's real quality stuff.
I really like the Premiere Aircraft Design stuff too, especially the DH6 and DH8; their TB10 Tobago, and Diamond motor glider are really great too.
For freeware transports, I like iDFG the best, especially their DC-10 and MD-11. For regionals, you can't beat Project Fokker, and the Premiere Aircraft CRJs.
