Update on C208 and water taxi

Hey, all I can say is "holy crap, batman!" :o

I downloaded the modified sim1.dll file as suggested (see original topic), dropped the 208 in a local lake with slew mode, and gave her a trial taxi.

With condition and prop levers full forward, but torque at minimum, she smoothly began to accelerate, and accelerate, and.....well, you get the picture.  I finally applied reverse thrust when the gps gave me a ground speed of around 45 kts, and she smoothly deccelerated back to 0 kts.

I am now experimenting with pulled back condition and prop settings to get a nice even taxi anywhere between 2 and 20 kts

I'm not sure that the ground dynamics aren't going to be too "slick", as I had to bring prop and condition levers to minimum to keep the thing from from scooting  across the apron with the brakes off.

Maybe the truth is somewhere between the default setting and the modified one.

Anyone who has hex editing experience interested in tweeking the numbers a bit?
