[glb]Hi folks, whilst watching videos of real aircraft such as the newer 737's i noticed that they dont actually have a GPS panel.  It seems that they use a gauge, which displays the route and also incorporates the TCAS.  Is there such a gauge for flight simulator, that displays waypoints and procedures and your loaded flight plan.

I know in real life this is entered into the FMC... i dont have one....[/glb]

Cheers for your help guys, thanks,

Andy :)

I don't know if it's exactly what you want but you might try RealityXP and see if some of their avionics upgrades will work for you.

The RXP products come with an installer and also you will want to check the user submitted files on the RXP site. Those are integrations done by RXP users that incorporate the RXP guages a lot better than the autoinstaller will. On some of the products the autoinstaller will only put the guage into a popup panel.

If your looking for freeware guages you might want to check the libraries here and at AVSIM. Depending on what you want there might be something in them to suite your needs. Check both the  "Panels" and "Misc" sections.

Eric Marciano's A330 panel (incorporating his A330.gau) has a main gauge that also doubles as a TCAS, but it doesn't display the route. There are other gauges that offer that kind of functionality (e.g. the RealCRT gauges) but they are not freeware.

Well, the closest thing in FS2004 to an FMS is, unfortunately, the GPS.

jrpilot is correct -- one gets what one pays for when it comes to this hightech FS9 addons. Here's a screenshot of the realdeal (Honeywell HT9100) and as can been seen teh others come close (but not close enough) F1's HT1000 is good but it's only in the ATR (payware)
