Sydney Airport

Postby Mr_Spock » Mon Jul 04, 2005 6:50 am

Hi everyone, its been a while. Got myself a new video card for the BF2 game and due to that I can now run Flight sim at the highest settings with no shutter views.
But I'm saddened that I cant seem to find a fix for the Ultimate traffic AI placement of the Aircraft at Sydney Airport, all the international 747's are crammed into the Domestic terminal which is to small for them, and all the 737 and props are parked at the international terminal which is built for the heavy body jets,

has anyone found or know of a fix for this?

A friend said Oh you can reasighn the parking spots, which got him the OK brainyack how do I do that /reply. which he just shrugged with an I don't know, he envys my GT vid card.

But I hope one of you can help me with a download for if i have to remap all the bays ( which I'm not going to do due to lack of knowing what the bays for sydney are) I'll be a very happy 42nd birthday boy. :P 8) ;D

Heya Mr_Spock,

Excellent avatar picture by the way.  There is a way to "re-map" airports so that aircraft go to their correct gates and park in the correct locations.  You will need a program called AFCAD 2.21 by Lee Swordy available here at SimV:

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities1.htm

The program is easy to use and has many features for creating or updating an airport...there are also some fine tutorials on how to use it here:

Live long and prosper -- and love me true.
Happy Flying -- And may your main wheels always touch down first!

I second Dave's advice, AFCAD is a great program to have in your FS toolbox, but if you want to save a little work on this one.......   ;)

....couldn't locate any Sydney AFCADs here, but search Avsim file library,

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
