I mainly use the 2D cockpit, 'cos thats the view which gives me constant access to all my controls, instruments and radios, etc...

...!
I manually control my starter/mag switch, lights, propellor, mixture, flaps, trim, undercarriage, instrument settings, radio tuning, etc, etc, all from the 2D cockpit, something which can't be done from the other views... ;)...!
All the time I am flying I need constant access to all of the above, as would a real pilot.
I use the numpad keys (or hat switch) to obtain external left/right views from the cockpit for general observasion, and turning base, finals, etc....
That is the sort of cockpit arrangement I see before me in the real aircraft...!
The only slight advantage I find of using the VC view is to (sometime) see the propellor(s), and to scroll around the cockpit, (and to experiance spacial confusion!)...

...!
As far as I remember, little or nothing can be controlled from the Virtual Cockpit view...

...!
And the remaining views indicate that your harness has failed and you are sat outside on the nose/engine cowling...

...!
...so I go for the 2D cockpit...D...!
Cheers all...!
Paul....testing mags, setting altimeter, etc, setting trim and flaps for take-off, tuning radios..etc...
