Hello everyone.  I Decided that i fancied a challenge, i decided to set the weather to heavy snow.  I was flying a 737-700 (The one by moach).  I completed all the checklists and checked all of the instruments.  i got about 9 miles out of EGCC Manchester England.  The IAS simply reset to 0.  So did the stand by.  I couldnt fly the aircraft safely so had to turn back for a touch and go.  This happens with all aircraft, but only in heavy snow.  Any ideas, im lost???

(turn on the pitot heat) (It's an electric heating element that keeps (or melts) ice from forming in/on the pitot-tube ( the device the IAS gauge uses to measure airspeed))

Thanks, I thought i had done.  I went through the checklist!! does anti ice and pitot heat need to be on or r they the same things

I'm not sure how FS9 ties that together.. I'd imagine if you need anti-ice for the airframe and/or prop, you'd need it for the pitot-tube also.. If in doubt, just use the key-board shortcut for turning on pitot heat.. OR.. install a seperate pitot heat switch on the panel.
