...Hi clipper..all those files should be inside a folder with the aircrafts name something like A319-131 British Airways judging from your pic........it is THAT folder which needs to be put in the fs9 Aircraft folder, complete with it's contents.......commoner ;)

Thanks Commoner. I've only done it a thousand times before. I checked the download and yes, everything does come in a single folder. Thanks for your prompt attention and patience with my momentary brainlock! :)

AFAIK iFDG planes come in complete packages (5 MB) and NOT just textures (only).

Some people know how to program the VCR and some don't. The same goes to installing aircraft. It is all practice and not all aircraft files are setup in the same way, it would be nice if they were. If everyone just set their zip files up so all we had to do was extract all to the fs9 folder and all the gauges, effects and aircraft all went into their respective folders life would be so simple.  thanks to forums like this one We are able to help a fellow simmer. What could be better than that.

Look at the aircraft entry in the aircraft.cfg file and make sure it's linked to the texture folder correctly

My appoligies i thought he was a newbie and you were having a go at learners. I sometimes suffer from foot in mouth desease. But i still say that zip files should be standardised so as everything just has to be extracted to the FS9 folder and everything should all go where it is suppose to. Some include the aircraft dir some don't even in this case give you the folder for the aircraft name, it is very confusing for people starting out with FS9 or any other flightsim when it comes to installing aircraft or scenery. Again i apoligise.

lol...That's ok FS...I have been known to go off at half cock myself and my sense of humour isn't always "appreciated" by everybody..........commoner ;D

...standardizing installs would be great but with aircraft packages becoming more complex what with choice of paintjobs. two or three panels sometimes and all the added "effects" and fancy gauges it can be difficult IMO.
