Thats cool, but I like using FSCommander to do my flight plans.  Its the best ever!  http://www.fscommander.com/  Can make flight plans for FS, and even various FMC flight plans for planes like PMDG as well.  It can calculate fuel on board, lets you print out maps, and even choose from sids and stars as well.  Best freeware flight planner out there I found, I couldnt afford FSNav personally hehe.

I'm just starting to get into the area of on-line fliying at VATSim. When filing a flightplan with SquawkBox, I'm expected to provide some info that's not available from the flight planners I've seen. The biggest thing is flight time based on fuel which, of course, is aircraft specific.

I'm working on an Excel spreasheet which takes into account the cruise altitude for estimating speed over ground (SOG). I've included a little database for aircraft endurances. It provides distance between waypoints, a total distance traveled, estimated time of arrival based on SOG, not including an alternate airport.  But this method means I need to know the waypoints I'm going to use. It's all very frustrating.
