Odd FPS problem...

Hi all,

I wanted your opinions on the following:

I own a P4 2,4 Ghz, geforce Ti4200 - 64 mb card, 756 mb ramm

In FS9 I have decent FPS, but all if a sudden ( after changing camera-views) they drop drastically ( 15 => 3). But if I use the alt-key and go back to the sim, the normal 15 are back...

I've bought me a copy of silent hunter III ( subsimulator) and every time I switch commandposts, same deal, major FPS drop. I have to leave the program and enter it again to make it run smooth again.

This makes 2 programs with the same problem. My card can handle it, since i can correct the FPS-drop. But I wonder what's causing it... and how this might be helped.

Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Thanks,

Omag

In a way it is similar to a problem with my graphics. If I fly a highly detailed plane, it'll be blurry and all. As soon as I push Alt, it goes back to normal...

Cheers,
Ashar ::)

I've concluded that FS9 will load textures which are in view. When you change views, it the has to load textures in view. Have you waited about a minute for the FPS to pick up again?

So far, that's all I can think of.

Makes sense to me, Skittles. Sometimes the sim has to "catch up".
