The great tour

Postby Airbus_eurofighter » Fri Jun 10, 2005 4:22 pm

Hi i am going to do a big tour arround the Australian's coast, then New Zealand coast, cross the Paciffic and do a trip into alaska.

My question is... What plane do you recomend me to do that trip???
( I have selected the Howard 500)

Great idea, and yes, take shots for our enjoyment, however.  Are you planning on crossing the pacific in a Howard?  I am not familiar with the plane, and I haven't a clue if it can go that far, but get ready for a long trip, for I would advise to go in something with a jet engine.  Unless you want a low and slow flying trip around the land, take something big and shiny!

I recomend the smallest plane you can get away with. I just finished an around the world flight in the Douglas World Cruiser at the breakneck speed of 105 Mph. It taught me patience and I had great time with the old gal! ;D

Pick an airplane that's easy to understand and operate, has a full stocked panel with everything you need, and that you enjoy flying.

One thing that bugs me to no end is hopping in an airplane and in the middle of a cross country flight, discovering that it's missing and/or an important gauge was sized to small to read ::)

Personally, I fly the Piper Archer more then anything

I've just got to the US in a RealAir Spit from Hungary (shots only posted as far as Canada thusfar in the payware screenies forum), and I have to say it is fun, but your bum ends up a funny shape ;D

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
