2 stations on same frequency

Starting from Malaga I followed a flight plan under ATC ifr control to Casablanca.

Suddenly, when in the casablanca center area, an automatic meteo station started to loop endlessly.

I tryed first to change the com2 but still recieved this meteo which was at the same frequency than my ATC center. So I could recieve both but impossible to acknowledge anything with this f... meteo station looping endlessly. so after some recalls, the upset controller kicked me out  :(

Is there any file I can edit to shut up those useless meteo station when they are on same frequency than an atc center ?

BTW: Malaga is a very impressive airport to land by south wind or take off by North wind due to the mountains around

Thanks ken,

I don't know anything about  AFCAD, it could be a good occasion to have a go on it.

Unfortunately, it is not an airport ATIS but something like an "automatic meteo broadcast". which indeed behaves like an ATIS: It never shut up...

I seems located at the east of Casablanca (may be around Gibraltar) because yesterday I left Casablanca to Tenerife south airport (Canaries). Turned West after take off and flew a good while under Casablanca center ATC without beeing bothered with the meteo station.

OK, sorry but I just ran out of advise on this one! That broadcast is from GMSL which is a military airport named Sidi Slimane. The problem is that AFCAD doesn't show that ATIS and freq! If you move your aircraft start point to GMSL, and open the ATC window, it will show that ATIS on the same frequency as Casablanca center, but I have no idea how to change it since it don't show up in AFCAD! Sorry.

OK, give us a clue, where is that .bgl file and how do you edit it?

Right, that is normally true. But in this case, the ATIS does NOT show up in the stock file for that particular airport. It appears that this one is done as part of some other .bgl file, probably the one that assigns the ATC frequencies, but I don't know which file that is.

Im no scenery expert. but you'd think that id an airfield like heathrow has its station in the afcad, then so would any other. Cant help any more im afraid. Other than to make sure you are looking for the right airfield as the source of the problem.

Thanks a lot folks

Obviously I must learn a bit more than I know about  handling airport and navaids information.

I just downloaded  afcad221 and lookes on the manual. It looks to be a very powerfull tool . I will try and let you know tthe result.
