Scenery bounce every second.

Here is my problem. Every second precisely my scenery bounces down about 1/8" and right back up again. I have tried adjusting all settings for scenery and hardware both in FS2004 and for my ATIX600XT graphics card. I increased my virtual memory also but no
change of settings eliminates the problem. Have any of you had this problem? If you have I would like to hear what you did to correct it as this is very annoying.

Here are my computer specs:

P4 3.4GHz
800 MHz Front Side Bus
1 GB Memory
250 GB HD
ATI Radeon X600XT  with 256 MB Video Memory

Thanks kindly

Virtual memory is increased on the hard drive and not on the video card but I am sure you knew that. Thanks for your interest.

Does it just happen on the runway? If so, change the contact  points of the problematic plane in the Aircraft.cfg :D

The slight bouncing of the scenery occurs every second regardless of what aircraft I am flying. It happens on the ground or in the air. Thanks for asking.

I've never seen that problem, but there is a similar problem that is related to frame rate. If you have the frame rate locked, unlock it, or if not set a lock, and see if that does anything.

...very strange...!
With a computer set-up like yours I wouldn't expect frame-rate problems...?
(In fact I wouldn't expect any problems at all....;)...!)

Have you got any program(s) running in the background, sharing time with the Flight Sim...?

Cheers...!

Paul.

Problem solved !!!  I disabled my 3rd party firewall and activated my Windows Firewall instead and all is OK now. With everything maxed out my frame rates are averaging 50 and FS runs smooth as silk.

Thanks Paul
