Seatbelts

When flying my A330 I have a seat belt light and no smoking light I always leave the no smoking light when should I turn the seatbelt light off  I assumed it was after I reached crusing alt which for my A330 it is 330 what do real pilots do .

after the initial climb the cabin crew are allowed to undo their seat belts and prepare for in-flight services, however for the passengers the seatbelt sign must remain on until your cruising altitude is reached. It must be switched back on when you start decending through 10,000.
