Strange Problem

Hello all,
A new problem just picked up this morning with FS9. I was going to play MP with an MP group i found over with FSHost Spy. I connected and chose my aircraft. I went to the local airport. I throttled up for flight but a few seconds later FS Crashed and gave me a black screen. In addition, I checked DXDiag and it gave me a message in the DirectX Files that this .dll is an old version and to update I have to reinstall DirectX. Here is what I get when I open up DXDiag:


If you look at the middle there is a yellow box with an exclamation point next to it. The .dll's name is qasf.dll.

Now my questions are:
1) How can I reinstall DirectX and will it affect my computer at all?
2) Will FS keep crashing or is this not related to FS?

Keep in mind that about 14 hours ago I played Multiplayer with Ben and Stormtropper.

Help is very appreciated.

EDIT: Just found this out! FS9.1 Starts out without sound. When I press 'Q' the sound comes on for about a millisecond and FS Crashes...Could it be something with my sound...

Reinstalling DX9 won't do any harm.

Thanks for your reply, but how in heavens name do I reinstall DirectX? I have checked the MS website and they have DirectX 9.0c for download. I have DirectX 9.0b. Does that make a difference?

Yes it does CCCP. Get the DX 9.0c

I am running it with the udate and everything works well.
