Helicopter Problem

Hi! ;D I have the Seruphum Aerospace JetFalcon helicopter for 2002 and all is well except that it wants to go nose up at a rapid rate at all times. I am using a flight yoke and there is a way to adjust the pitch but that would screw up the rest of my aircraft and what I'm use to. By nose up I mean I have to push all the way foreward on the yoke just to keep the helicopter level. That just can't be right. My other choppers are fine it's just that one helicopter. I assume there's an adjustment in the aircraft cfg. file but don't know what that would be. Any help PLEASE!! ???  Wildie.

I don't have that helo but first of all I'd wonder how much collective you are giving it. Collective is your thrust control on the FS helos. Full up on collective and you will get a lot of lift. Also once you begin to pick up speed you will get enough wind over the main rotors to increase your lift. The FS exaggerates this effect according to real life Helo pilots.

Check out some of the FS helo schools for more info on flying helos. You'll get a lot more and better answers from their forums or by taking their lessons. Still consider myself a novice when it comes to helos in FS but those guys over there know how to fly them and some are RW helo pilots.

Hoversafe:

Hovercontrol:

Both are excellent places to learn FS helos.

Matt, you are making it too complicated.

Wilderobb the FDs are crap, FS8 helos don't work well in FS9.

No helo in FS flies anything like the real thing, believe me, i'm helo rated.

Might be but I've had some fun flying the helos in FS. Actually the GMaxflight Gazelle is the best flying helo I've found. Can't compare it to RL but it flies great. Can make even a beginner like me look good and that's a real trick.  ;D

I still say check out Hoversafe and Hovercontrol. They have sim and control settings that make it a lot more realistic and I think there are some FD mods that you can download.

Have you tried Real Start? It's payware but it has a very realistic startup and FD mod for the default Jet Ranger. Oh watch that torque or you will end up buying a helo.   ;D

Wildrobb: You might do better with a stick for helos. It's a lot more realistic.

Isn't it "Why do helicopters fly? Because they're so ugly, the ground repels them!"

;D

That works too, all I know is they should naturaly screw them selves in to the ground. Also if helicopters are so safe, how come you don't see any at old timer flying displays??
