FS9 Crashes with too much AI Traffic

Postby shavcewj » Sun May 22, 2005 1:05 pm

I'm running FS9 on an XP platform (2.4 GHz P4, 1 MB RAM, FX5900XT Graphics Card).  Sometimes when I run the program it exits back to Windows as it tries to load AI Traffic.  No error messages or any other indication of trouble.  Sometimes the same thing happens as I approach a busy airport with a lot of traffic.  If I turn off the AI traffic I have no problems.  Anyone have any ideas what causes this.  I've found nothing indicating a maximum AI traffic limit.  I don't think it's a hardware issue as my system is fairly new and top-of-the-line.

Thanks

shavcewj,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

If you have added any add-on aircraft that are being used for AI planes...... that could very well be the issue.  It could be that one of the planes is VERY non-compatible with fs2004.  Or if you added another aircraft that changed or deleted some "common" feature / gauge/ folder that two airctraft share... and one of them is AI, that might do it too.

I'm sure that you'll get other possible suggestions soon too.  Good luck.

best,

..............john
