:-[HI GUYS,
HAS  ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM!!
IT'S ONLY JUST STARTED TO HAPPEN--WHEN FLYING ANY PLANE (EVEN DEFAULT ONES) IN 2D PANEL VIEW, WHEN I EITHER CLICK ON GPS ICON, OR BRING IT UP BY SHIFT/3, THE SIM CRASHES JUST AS GPS APPEARS.
I HAVE FS9 INSTALLED ON MY OTHER H/DRIVE WITH THE SAME GAUGES INSTALLED IN MAIN FOLDER, AND EVERYTHING IS GREAT !!
ANY DIRECTIONS TO CHECK POSSIBLE SOLUTION WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
RUNNING XP HOME / PENTIUM 4 / 2.66GIG PROCESSOR/
WITH 1GIG OF  333 MEMORY.
HOPE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN HELP.
REGARDS,  RAJAH.

From what you say, it sounds as if you have put FS9 on a different drive. The program needs a lot of free disk space to run properly, it uses it as memory.

Maybe you've switched it over to a drive that's almost full? In which case the game possibly doesn't have enough memory to run GPS?

Well, rajah, if you keep yelling loud enough like you are doing, the whole world will hear you. Do us a favour and release your caps lock key.

I have started to experience this. Everything running smoothly with good frame rates. Switch on GPS and still ok. Press the "Terr" button on the GPS and "Crash".

Funny thing is this happens at just some locations. One was Isle of Man after I had loaded some freeware scenery, but problem was solved by removing the default AFCAD file.
Other locations have no such recent changes.

Crash also tends to lock up the computer so badly that mains have to be disconnected to re-boot
