For landings there is an excellent program called 3 Wire (its available free on many sites). For launching my advice would be plenty of flaps, full-throttle and then trip the brakes

There are various panels you can download off this site for - such as the f-14 or f/a-18 panel that includes a catapult switch and arrester hook. these are very easy to use; I have been using them for a long time now and find them very effective for carrier flights. Just flick through the early 2004 panels and you should find them.
Have fun

what i do is i just land on the one out of san fransisco and for that just pull full flaps, spoiler, and idle throttle, and just get as slow as you can, then drop onto the deck, if you dont get down, flick throttle up and put down flaps and take off spoiler and try again, i did it in a lear 45, so not only the tiny ones can do it

nothing's more col than taking off with a 747. becuase 3 wire just gets the speed going, regardless of weight (to an extent).
I dig 3wire, i dont use it a lot, but when i do, it's pretty fun. there is an aircraft carrier that comes with it. go to select flights >other (or whatever).
