I really like their planes but this days I really don't d/l planes without DVC (cause I think it's the way to go...), so my question....
Anyone knows if they'll ever do some DVC for their plnes? h
thks

I have never been one to turn down a nice looking/flying model because of the lack of a VC

i'm perfectly happy flying with 2d panel only. but i welcome a vc if it's a nice one. i know there's lots of people here who won't touch a plane without vc. it just comes down to personal preference

well I really need the VC these days...after getting used to the imersion sensation during take-off and landing I can't go back to 2d panels... during the cuise I don't mind using the 2d panel, usually it's better to handle the autopilot, but when I start to prepare for landing I allways change to the VC... and this is in airliners, If we talk about military jets and general aviattion, then the DVC, for me, is much more important.....

i have...

i always do that, in my opinion, an aircraft without a DVC is incomplete, i don't dowload planes without DVCs no matter how good it looks

i actually feel that the internal model is more important than the external model itself, first because you spend way more time flying from the cockpit than from the spot plane view, second, it makes it feel like you're really there

plus, real life pilots don't even get external view

actually, i would prefer to download an aircraft that is just the VC than to download a plane with no VC....

that's me...

It makes you wonder, if aircraft writers (and I am not one. You are all Gods of the white magic box that sits under my deskas far as I am concerned) just produced an aircraft with a VC, and nothing else, would it sell (metaphorically speaking) and would we end up with something that was a real gem. All the effort would be put to the inside and not what the aircraft looks like from the spot view. As Moach said, you don't get an external view in the real world.

Moach's 737 is a perfect example of a good VC!
Maybe you don't get an external VC in real life but Fs is not real life. Most FS'ers are aviation enthusiasts who like to see planes fly. Therefor Exterior models shall always be important in FS. Me personally fly more from spot view than from the cockpit. I like VC's but only functional ones. A cabin is nice too but also not a must! I prefer a good exterior model above all.

Yes, me too!! When I fly in FS, I always fy in exterior view. It's cool when you see the Dynamic Shine reflecting off the fuselage. I also like Virtual Cabins. Sit at the window and watch the scenery pass by...

I will downlaod planes without VCs, but I will never fly them seriously. I might mess around with them for an hour or two, but I'll never really get into them. I simply can't without the immersion of a VC(not necissarily a DVC, although it's preferable).

This has turned into a lively discussion. It would seem that there are some real diverse tastes on the subject. What is more interesting, is the real lack of discussion on, what can only be called lame ground graphics of the entire FS series. We have got the aircraft cracked, now how about MS going to work on the ground. Anyone who who has used FU2 & 3 will see what is possible and that sim is now several years old. We are still stuck with FS in 1995, just with more trees. So many, that you would think that the chainsaw had never been invented, also more office blocks next to runways than I hangers in real life. I do however pay homage to the dedicated people who produce the fine scenary that we can access on this site. More gods of the white magic box.
