Hello rajiv2,
Click on the FS2004 FAQs which is located at the top of the FS2004 Forum.

The first topic is "How to locate your FS9 config file".

Hope this helps!!

If you are looking to fine tune flight characteristics of a specific acft. then look in the acft.cfg down in the "flight tuning" section. ( Think that is what it is called....not at home and trying to rem. off the top of my head

For a helpful guide in 'tuning' your aircraft, a good reference is the FS2004 Aircraft Container SDK', available here.http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/fs2004_downloads_sdk.asp#aircraftcontainer

It explains each section and parameter in the aircraft.cfg file.

i dont know about air ed, but fsedit does have a tuning section, and there you can increase the drag...

you can download it in the microsoft SDK page...

i think its the FSedit SDK or something like that

Use AirED to edit line 1101 (primary dynamics) in the .air file, specifically the skin friction coefficient value. Increase the negative number to increase the drag, slowing the plane when you reduce thrust. This also affects things like range, but that can be adjusted in the aircraft.cfg.

As always, back the original file up first in case of error.
