Hi, i got a saitek cyborg evo joystick and i don't like the default configuration of fs2004, so i change them via the change assigments tab in the options.

The problem is that fs2004 reset the default assigments everytime i restart my computer or that i unplug the joystick. I have install the patch and it did'nt help.

This is my favorite game, but it's now getting on my nerves, i have to re-asign everything each time i want to play and it take more than 2 minutes to do so.

Please help me

Hmmmm, don't know what's going there. I don't own a Saitek stick, but it should be saving the assignments. Are you doing it in your stick program or the Flight Sim? If I understand you correctly, you are doing it in the Flight Sim. When you set them up, are you saving those assignments? If you are, then they should stay put! Double check the stick program itself.

If I remember correctly, stick/key assignments are listed in the FS9.cfg file. Now if you can't get the problem worked out by doing some testing of setting the assignments via stick program, then FS assignments and then maybe doing both, you can then try locating the FS9.cfg after making your desired changes and right click on the FS9.cfg, select properties and then select "Read Only". See if that helps. If it don't then just change it back.

Other than that, I am at a loss. First time I ever heard of stick/key assignments reverting back to default all the time.

Good luck with your problem and hope the info helped. If not, perhaps someone with the same stick or who has experienced the same problem will have a more definative answer for you.

Have a cyborg evo meself-great stick.

Most of the time when settings aren't saved in FS, it's because you rather rudely/abruptly quit out of the game, and it feels unloved.  So it gets back at you by not saving your assignments.  To remedy this, make sure that you go back to the main menu and use the X to quit, as opposed to ctrl+c-ing out of it or something.  See if that does it.
