Heeeeyz!

I want to make movies in FS2004. I know you can record your flight, but FS will save it as a strange file. Not in *.wmv, or something else. Is there a program to convert the recorded movie-file into a video-file or a program that will record your flight and save it as a video-file like *.wmv or *.avi? Because, I have seen some movies of FS2004 which you can play with Windows Media Player.

Thanks, WD

Google a program called Fraps, which lets you take video captures of your screen.  Then you can use your favorite video editing software to create the movie.

yes, go with fraps. The FS movie-capture is kinda lame- maximum of one fps!

Actually I think FS9 is 1/4 frame per second. (It usually defaults at 1 frame per second, and you have to change the options time to get 1/4 second per frame)

But still kind of jerky   :P

Slow the sim rate to half-speed, and then when you edit, add a 2x effect to the clips.  It'll smooth right out for you.  (More than a straight capture, anyway.)
